Overview

The Everest Base Camp trek offers you an outstanding experience of the lifestyle of mountain region with exciting views of different highest mountains including Mt. Everest and its neighboring mountains. The trekking provides you an opportunity to embark on an epic journey towards the summit of Mt. Everest. We’ll observe the unique culture and traditions of Sherpa people living in the Sherpa Village. Sherpa people are said to be the best guide for the trekking of Everest Base Camp. The Everest Base Camp trekking package also includes climbing to Kala Patthar that gives panoramic views of Everest and the other neighboring mountains.
The trek can be accessible by the person with good health and average fitness. You don’t need to be a bodybuilder or do some hard exercise to trek around the region. The journey starts after your arrival in Kathmandu. We take a sightseeing flight towards Lukla and begin our trekking journey towards Sherpa villages in Namche Bazaar. Acclimatization is equally important to trek in the higher region towards the mountain region. The trail goes through the steep landscape, different forests of rhododendron and pine, and different cultural villages. The Tengboche monastery in the way fulfills the demands of the trekker towards Base Camp with its beauty and design. Tengboche Monastery is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. After reaching Kalapatthar, you’ll have a great opportunity to get an amazing view of Mt. Kala Patthar with the background view of Mt. Everest. After reaching Everest Base Camp, you can capture each and every moment with your loved one. We follow the route that leads us back to Namche Bazaar and then to Lukla. Our tour ends back in Kathmandu after a flight from Lukla.

Itenarary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer in a hotel


As soon you arrive in Kathmandu, a representative will pick you up and transfer you to a hotel. We’ll discuss the tour later in afternoon. In the evening, you’ll be served special dinner that introduces Nepali food culture.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding


After an early breakfast, we take a flight to Lukla. We start our trek from Lukla towards Phakding. The trail goes through different cultural villages with beautiful scenes of different mountains including Mt. Khumbila. We stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar


The trek towards Namche Bazaar goes through pine forests and up to the Benkar Valley in the North. Before reaching Everest National Park, we need to cross Dudh Koshi River and pass Chumoa and Monjo Villages. We reach Namche Bazaar after crossing a suspension bridge. We stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day


Today is our acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. We can tour Namche Bazaar and observe different natural beauties of Everest and Khumbu region. The place gives beautiful scenes of the different Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and many more.

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche


Our trek continues towards Tengboche village which has beautiful Tengboche monastery, the biggest monastery of the Everest region. We can observe different Buddhists ceremonies while staying in Tengboche.

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche


Our trail goes towards Dingboche through the trail of lush forests of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. We get admire good views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We stay overnight in Dingboche.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day


We need to acclimate ourselves to the high altitude. We explore different places of Dingboche on this day. We climb a ridge that is located behind the village and observe different tallest peaks of the world including Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. 

Day 8: Trek to Duglha


The journey towards Duglha is short from Dingboche. The trail goes across wide pass with the beautiful view of Mt. Pumori and its neighboring mountains. We stay overnight in Duglha.

Day 9: Trek to Lobuche


Today our trek goes towards the steep terminal of the Khumbu Glacier. The trail goes through boulder-strewn slopes and straight towards Chupki Lhara which is the ridge that provides spectacular views of different mountains. We stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep, visit Everest Base Camp


Today we’ll trek towards the Everest Base Camp. The trek is not very difficult as we walk through a lot of meandering on rough terrains and enjoy different incredible melt patterns and rounded towers on the upper part of Khumbu region. After visiting Everest Base Camp, we walk backward to Gorakshep for night stay.

Day 11: Trek to Kala Patthar, trek to Pheriche


Today we’ll trek towards the Everest Base Camp. The trek is not very difficult as we walk through a lot of meandering on rough terrains and enjoy different incredible melt patterns and rounded towers on the upper part of Khumbu region. After visiting Everest Base Camp, we walk backward to Gorakshep for night stay.

Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar


The next morning, we walk back to Namche Bazaar with a lot of ups and downs on the way. We walk through a hillside with different rhododendron and juniper trees. We stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla


Our trek continues towards Lukla on a rocky terrain. We walk on the trail alongside Dudh Koshi River. We cross suspension bridges and pass by several monasteries before reaching Lukla. We stay overnight in Lukla.

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu


Early in the morning, after breakfast, we fly towards Kathmandu. We get beautiful ariel views of different mountains on the way. We stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final Departure


Our Everest Base Camp tour comes to an end this day. A representative will help you with your final departure.

  • Travel insurance which covers emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation.
  • Nepal entry visa; you can obtain the visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
  • Alcoholic, hot and cold drinks.
